About Us
Who We Are
The Answer Group (TAG) is a strategy and culture firm helping purpose-driven people and organizations move from idea to execution—with clarity, alignment, and heart.
Founded and led by Industrial-Organizational Psychologist Janiece Smith, M.S., TAG exists to support changemakers who are building more just systems, human-centered cultures, and visionary spaces—within their teams, their missions, and themselves.
What We Do
We work across sectors—partnering with:
Nonprofits and community-based organizations to bring bold visions to life through strategic planning, sustainable programming, and values-aligned culture building.
For-profit companies and institutions to develop scalable, people-first programs that enhance culture, cultivate talent, and drive results.
Individuals and leaders navigating professional crossroads—offering high-impact coaching that restores clarity, reveals purpose, honors your calling, and empowers forward movement.
How We Work
Our approach blends the science of systems with the soul of service. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. We believe in:
Partnership over prescription
Purpose over perfection
Strategy that feels as good as it works
Whether we’re facilitating transformation inside an organization or helping an individual lead or pivot with greater confidence, we show up with love, clarity, and high standards—because meaningful work deserves meaningful support.
Why We Exist
At TAG, we believe YOU are the answer to the very problem you were designed to solve.
We’re here to help you activate that truth—with vision, intention, and strategy, so TAG us in!
Meet the CEO
Hi, I’m Janiece Smith—an Industrial-Organizational Psychologist, educator, strategist, and the CEO of The Answer Group Consulting.
At my core, I’m a builder of frameworks, a cultivator of clarity, and a partner in purpose. I founded The Answer Group to be a space where strategy meets soul—where organizations and individuals can find alignment, direction, and the structure they need to bring their vision to life.
I’ve spent years working across sectors—from global for-profit companies where I’ve led culture-shaping initiatives, to grassroots nonprofits where I’ve helped leaders design programs that create lasting impact. Today, I’m proud to serve as Board Chair for New Canon Chamber Collective and Board Secretary for Blacks in I/O Psychology, while also partnering with organizations like AIRIE, SPHINX LEAD, and Art Prevails Project.
Beyond organizational consulting, I’m deeply committed to walking alongside individuals who are navigating professional transitions or trying to reconnect with their purpose. I coach both men and women, and I have a special heart for those who are often overlooked, underestimated, or underserved. I believe everyone carries the potential to be an answer—and I’m here to help you access that truth.
I also serve as an adjunct professor at Florida International University, where I teach psychology courses rooted in leadership, identity, and critical thinking. While I teach a variety of subjects, Women & Leadership is closest to my heart, because it gives me the opportunity to empower students to find their voice, challenge harmful narratives, and lead from a place of wholeness.
Born and raised in South Florida, I lead with faith, purpose, and a deep love for people. I bring my full self to every project—with structure, joy, honesty, and grace. If you're ready to move forward with clarity, alignment, and a partner who believes in your mission as much as you do—you’re in the right place. TAG me in!
